Since incorporation in 1950, Skurka Aerospace Inc. has achieved the Advantage in design, developing, and manufacturing of customized electro-magnetic equipment. Which includes; Specialized A.C and D.C electric fans, blowers, speed transducers and tachometer for military vehicles, commercial aircraft, antenna drive systems, naval ships systems, and space systems.
Our facility consists of approximately 70,000 square feet of floor space. Presently there are over 140 employees. Ten of which are engaged in engineering efforts and twelve in Quality Assurance. The Skurka team is made up of the most highly trained and Qualified people in the motor business today, and is continuously improving state-of-the-art design and manufacturing techniques so as to better serve its customers and industry through continuous improvement in both engineering and manufacturing with compliance to ISO 9001 and with registration of AS9100B.  The
end result involves usage in equipment such as: Radar Ground/Airborne,
computer drive systems, Specialty Blowers for pressure as well as vacuum
Space Vehicles, Satellites and all types of Aircraft. Skurka Aerospace
Inc. has contributed in many areas requiring motor power. Some of those
are: Infrared, radar ground/airborne, aircraft fuel pump drives,
hydraulic pump drives, inverter-motor drives, fire control systems and
cryogenics.Skurka Aerospace Inc. has become recognized for quality Workmanship and excellence in design, development and manufacture of highly reliable, lightweight, high performance motors with designed gearboxes, brakes, fans, blowers, speed transducers and tachometer generators for aircraft and aerospace industries. As a result most airlines use Skurka products. Complete engineering capability permits us to understand and to custom design equipment to meet your specific needs. Long established enterprise in handling custom designs leads us to explore creative design concept while balancing new approaches with traditional designs. methods, facilities and personnel are geared to the development and
production of custom equipment-without sacrificing reliability or
performance. Skurka Aerospace Inc. has placed strong emphasis on
new product development. We have taken a proactive approach to
our customer’s needs and strive to provide world-class design products.Skurka Aerospace Inc. continuously challenges its employees to reach new levels of capacity and both internal and external customers satisfaction. Continuous process improvement teams have been formed in manufacturing areas and support. Internal processes are studied, documented, and tasked with improvement goals. On July 01, 2005 Skurka Aerospace acquired the Motor Division of Eaton Aerospace. This division was originally the motor group of EEMCO which started in 1942 and produced custom electric motors designed for commercial aircraft actuators, pump drives and APU engine starters. The Burbank plant has been closed and relocated to our Camarillo facility. On May 05, 2006 Skurka Aerospace Inc. acquired Electra-Motion. They had been designing and manufacturing custom fractional and integral horsepower electric motors and related sub-assemblies since 1979. Electra-Motion Products have supported special needs for defense, medical and commercial aircraft markets. The Monrovia plant was closed in August 2006 and integrated into our Camarillo facility. |
